A reward of up to $10,000 was announced today by a local group for information about the cause of the Friday fire at Paideia School in Druid Hills.

There have been no new developments in the case -- though Atlanta fire investigators were seeking four "people of interest" who were reportedly at the scene before the blaze began, said Atlanta Fire Rescue Department spokesman Capt. Bill May.

The Georgia Arson Control Hot Line announced the reward. Those with information are encouraged to call 1-800-282-5804.

"Any information called into this line, they would forward to investigators," May said.

He added investigators were seeking the four "people of interest" -- two males and two females between the ages of 15 and 18 -- but did not consider them suspects.

Firefighters responded to the blaze Friday night, which May said started in three hay bails on the porch of the 80-year-old Mother Goose building.

May said the flames reached into the attic and then spread throughout the structure.

He said there is reason to believe the fire was set intentionally.

The Mother Goose building dates to the 1920s. The structure was a day care center before Paideia purchased it in 1982 and added it to its campus on Ponce de Leon Avenue.

The building was used as classroom space.

Paideia School spokesperson Jennifer Hill said four classes were relocated to other parts of campus.

The private school is waiting to hear from its insurance company to decide if it will replace the building, she said.
