Henry County Senior Services will host Huffin’ for Stuffin’, a 5K run/walk, on Thanksgiving Day to benefit the Adopt-a-Senior program.

“Funds raised by Huffin’ for Stuffin’ will help our homebound seniors through the Adopt—Senior Program, which provides gifts they need and can use, such as towels and personal care products,” said Rita Greene, volunteer coordinator for Henry County Senior Services. “In addition, JCPenney will donate any leftover funds to the Meals-on-Wheels program so that in 2010, we can help more of our homebound seniors through our home-delivered meal program.

The Huffin’ for Stuffin’ race is sponsored by JCPenney, Point to Point Sports, H Magazine, Fallas Family Vision, and the Henry County Super Saver. Additional race-day sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Huffin’ for Stuffin’ will be held Nov. 26 at 8 a.m. at JCPenney, 1380 Hwy. 20 West in McDonough. Interested runners and walkers can download an official Huffin’ for Stuffin’ entry form on Henry County’s website, www.henrycounty-ga.org, by clicking on the rotating ad in the upper right corner, or they can pick one up at JCPenney in the SouthPoint Shopping Center in McDonough.

Advance registration for the 5K is $15 or $20 the day of the race and advance registration for the one mile walk is $10 or $15 the day of the race. There will be a free Tot Trot for children 6-years-old and under and turkey bowling for $5. Awards will be given for first through third place male and female winners, and T-shirts will be given to all participants.
