Alabama poet Joseph Whitten will read from his new book, "Learning to Tell Time," on August 24 at the Johns Creek Poetry Group gathering at the Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library from 10:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.. The former president of the Alabama State Poetry Society was named Poet of the Year in 2000 by ASPS. If you want to learn to express yourself through poetry, improve your writing skills or just appreciate the craft, join us for lively Open Mic, thoughtful presentations, helpful workshops, and gentle critique.
