While the actors in Los Angeles were receiving their Golden Globes on Sunday, Georgia entertainment professionals were receiving their own awards at the 2013 Georgia Entertainment Gala, held at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Alpharetta resident Ken Feinberg, founder of Creative Studios of Atlanta, took home the “Outstanding Achievement Award”.

Of the award, Feinberg said, “You work so hard for so many years, and you don’t think anyone is paying attention to what you’re doing because you’re so wrapped up in it that you never know if you are making a difference. Then, someone recognizes that you are making a difference, and the validation is incredibly surprising. I am so moved to be honored by the Georgia entertainment community.”

For more than 25 years, Feinberg has been directing, writing, producing and acting in award-winning films, hit television series and major theater projects in Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta.

As an actor, Feinberg is known to television viewers around the world for his role as the Chaos Demon in the acclaimed series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”

He also played memorable characters on hit TV series such as “Star Trek Enterprise,” “Alias,” “Charmed” and “The District.”

Feinberg has directed and produced more than 30 films, four of which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France, including his film “Small World” that premiered in May 2012.

Feinberg has won numerous awards for his work behind the camera including the teen comedy “Foreign Exchange,” which was named one of the best films of 2009, the romantic comedy “Coming Clean,” and Feinberg’s homage to Fellini, “3 1/2,” which garnered awards on the festival circuit as well.

As CEO of Creative Studios of Atlanta, Feinberg casts film, TV, commercials, voice over, music videos and print jobs in Atlanta.

Feinberg also teaches acting, directing and screenwriting. He is the founder of the CSA Film Academy for Young Actors — a selective nine-month acting career preparatory program.

Feinberg’s students have starred in feature films, been cast in television series and commercials, booked lucrative voice over work, landed national print ad campaigns and acted on Broadway.
