To celebrate National Adoption Month in November, Bethany Christian Services, a national family preservation and adoption agency, will host its Fellowship Dinner fundraiser Nov. 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, 3434 Roswell Road in Buckhead.

“We are excited to once again host our annual Fellowship Dinner to raise funds for special-needs adoption,” said Nonyem Nwabuoku-Drayton, executive director of Bethany Christian Services Atlanta, located in Sandy Springs. “We invite the community to join us in supporting this program and all of the children it helps to place with loving, forever families.”

The event features a seated dinner, live entertainment, a silent auction and former Gov. Sonny Perdue, who will address the crowd with a special message.

Perdue is a husband, father and grandfather. He and the former Mary Ruff of Atlanta have four children and 11 grandchildren. Additionally, the couple has served as foster parents for eight newborns awaiting adoption. The Perdues attend First Baptist Church of Woodstock, where they teach a Sunday school class for young couples emphasizing the importance of faith in building a strong and lasting marriage.

Bethany Christian Services of Atlanta helps more than 300 children annually find secure and loving forever families through foster care and adoption.

Contributions raised through the Fellowship Dinner will allow the organization to continue offering support to local children and families.
