McDonough’s newest small business is a retailer dedicated to products that are ‘Truly Yours.’

The business, known as Truly Your Personality, used to offer personalized goods for business before transitioning to a retail storefront.

“We were doing embroidery and vinyl work as well as mailing, shipping and printing for businesses,” said owner Courtney Esposito. “We basically decided to step into the retail side. We have a variety that can provide age interest from not even born yet to grandmothers.”

The step into the retail side started on Feb. 25 for the Truly Your Personality owner.

Items that can be personalized include diaper bags, book bags, overnight bags, ladies handbags, wine glasses and tumbler cups.

Candles, jewelry and clothing for children up to size seven or eight are also sold at the business.

Another take on personalization in the store is the create-your-own station.

Customers can create their own pixie sticks with desired flavors as well as create their own scented lotion concoctions.

“[Customers] can make their own body lotion, bath gel or lip gloss,” said Esposito. “We have the base scents and they can layer the scents of cotton candy, lemon, yummy grape and rock candy.”

Truly Your Personality does not just carry items for interest of women, but for boys as well.

“We have quite a bit for boys whom are hard to buy for including lunch boxes, water bottles and bags,” said Esposito.

Esposito said the price range of items sold is between $10 and $40.

For Esposito, owning a business in the city she is a resident in has been nothing short of welcoming.

“I absolutely love the city [of McDonough] not just as a business owner, but as a resident,” she said. “I truly feel like the people in the area try to support local businesses.”
