On March 27, the chamber will kick off the expo with a keynote reception at The Metropolitan Club in Alpharetta from 3 to 5 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Dwayne Meeks, district manager with UPS.
“The theme for this year is ‘Connections That Count,’” Plotkin said. “What we look for in a speaker is a business that connects to the community. Not only does UPS connect to businesses, they’re in our north Fulton footprint, and their employees live, work and play here.”
The tickets for the reception are $25 for chamber members and $35 for nonmembers.
On March 28, the chamber will hold its traditional expo where more than 80 businesses will be displayed and promoted at the Marriott Alpharetta.
Day two of the expo will start with a ribbon-cutting and opening ceremony at 9:15 a.m. Doors to the exhibit show hall will open at 9:30 a.m.
“Then at lunch time, we have our restaurants and caterers who will bring complimentary food,” Plotkin said. “We also have two free seminars in the morning and in the afternoon. The speaker is Em Williams and she’s with Georgia Power and she has two interactive networking workshops called ‘Innovative Ways to Be Remembered: Refreshing Your Approach.’ She’ll be conducting the same one in the morning and then again in the afternoon so those people who didn’t get to see it in the morning can come in the afternoon.” The one-hour seminars will be held at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
“Then in the afternoon from 3 to 5, we have our closing event,” Plotkin said. “We’re going to be celebrating the six cities of north Fulton. The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce represents six cities in north Fulton, and we’ve very proud to be representing those six cities.”
The expo will end at 5 p.m. Those who register online for the March 28 event by March 21 will get in for free. For those who miss the advance registration, the cost will be $20 at the door.
