The banquet will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at Eagle’s Landing Country Club, and this year’s keynote speaker will be Donna Hyland, the president and CEO of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Children’s Healthcare recently opened an urgent care facility at Hudson Bridge Crossing in Stockbridge.
“As a newcomer business to Henry County, we’re just really proud to have Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta have a presence in Henry County,” chamber Communications Director Diane Ide said.
She said it is a natural fit to have Hyland as this year’s keynote speaker.
“She’s a very well-respected female in her field,” Ide said.
Entertainment will be provided by Henry County native Charity Brooke Smith, who will entertain cabaret style with songs.
Awards will be given to the business of the year, the volunteer of the year and the citizen of the year, as well as the Billy Carter Public Service Award.
Volunteer of the year applies specifically to a chamber volunteer, the citizen of the year is open to any Henry County resident who excels in business or service to the community, the business of the year must be a chamber member for at least three years, and the Billy Carter Public Service winner must be an elected, appointed or employed in a public position.
Ide said the selections have already been made by a panel of past recipients.
Capacity for the event is 300 people, which Ide said has already been hit.
“It’s the largest event of the year,” for the chamber, she said. “We have a lot of leaders in the county who attend.”
