When Charles Drew High School conducted its first commencement exercises at the Georgia Dome May 23, there were a number of memorable moments. Not only was this the first Drew graduating class to turn their tassel signifiying the next chapter of their educational or career persuits, it was also the initial presentation of the Mayor's Cup trophy given by Riverdale Mayor Evelyn Winn Dixon, Ph.D. Drew graduate Terika Bryant is all smiles as she accepts the Mayor's Cup, given to her as the Drew student who showed the most determination and drive to graduate from high school despite tough circumstances.
