The Chastain Park Conservancy will celebrate its 10th anniversary by hosting a free commemorative breakfast for members and supporters Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. at the Chastain Horse Park in Buckhead.

The conservancy is a nonprofit dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the largest park in the city of Atlanta.

The public is invited to attend, learn about upcoming park improvement initiatives and enjoy complimentary breakfast and birthday cake. WSB Radio show host Walter Reeves will present Going Native with Chastain, a talk covering plants native to the area for one’s garden.

“This anniversary celebration represents a significant milestone for the CPC,” said Executive Director Rosa McHugh. “We are excited to celebrate our past accomplishments and share upcoming master plan projects with our members and supporters.”

Over the past 10 years the conservancy has established a reputation as a leading innovator among nonprofit conservation organizations for its collaborative efforts with the city and other park partners to improve Chastain on such initiatives as the tennis center renovation, the PATH expansion from West Wieuca Road to the Red Lot and the Hill Top field project.

“We are so grateful for the volunteer and financial support of the community for the benefit of Chastain Park,” McHugh said. “It allows us to continue our mission to restore, enhance, maintain and improve Chastain Park. Please join us to celebrate the past and learn about the exciting projects planned for the future.”
