Keep Douglasville Beautiful is encouraging local residents to recycle their Christmas lights in bins in the Douglasville City Hall lobby, outside the front doors of the Douglasville Police Department, at Hunter Park and at Jessie Davis Park.

Director Chan Weeks encourages the public to place old, broken or unwanted Christmas tree lights in the bins for recycling. Bins will be available until Jan. 4. Residents can also recycle their live Christmas tree at ‘Bring One for the Chipper’ at Home Depot on Douglas Boulevard on Jan. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Christmas lights will also be collected at this time.
