The Roswell Police Department was dispatched to Ridgefield Drive on Friday around 8:40 p.m. on reports of multiple sounds of gun fire.

The police discovered an alleged domestic dispute in progress. Gunfire was exchanged between the police and the male suspect. The female involved in the dispute had run from the house and was unharmed.

Members of the North Fulton SWAT team arrived with negotiators. The body of the suspect was later found deceased in his home.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations is investigating the incident.
