Although complete Douglas County voting totals won’t be announced until after the polls close, at least one of the county’s five precincts report voting has been steady.

Connie Tallant, poll manager for the Boundary Waters Aquatic Center precinct, said it had had about 100 to vote by 1 p.m.

“It’s been steady, 2-3 voters at a time,” she said.

“We haven’t had any major problems as things continue to run smoothly.”

All polls will be open today until 7 p.m. and those still in line to vote at 7 p.m. will be allowed to do so.

In addition to Boundary Waters, Douglas County’s other polling sites open today include the Douglas County Courthouse, the Deer Lick Park gymnasium, 2105 Mack Rd., the Dog River Library, 6100 Georgia Highway 5 and the Old Douglas County Courthouse, 6754 Church St.
