As Blessed Trinity tennis sets their eyes on a fourth straight state championship, the Lady Titans will look for senior Kourtney Keegan to lead them there.

With a prep resume that is as impressive as any in the country, it won’t surprise many if she does just that.

Holding a 4-0 record this season, Keegan’s career mark now stands at 54-0 — all while playing on the No. 1 singles line and without dropping a set along the way.

“Kourtney is a naturally gifted athlete [and] her strengths are numerous,” said BT tennis coach Alan Keel of Keegan.

“She can overpower a person on a serve or ground stroke, then at the next moment finesse a serve with tremendous spin or place a perfect drop shot.”

Keegan, who signed to play collegiately at the University of Florida last November, is listed as a blue-chip prospect by tennisrecruiting.net — a site that ranks her as the top prep player in the state of Georgia and No. 10 among high school players nationally.

On top of her prowess on the hard courts in the spring, Keegan also starred on the hardwood at Blessed Trinity, leading the Lady Titans basketball team to the state playoffs as an all-region forward.

“She juggles two sports and plays [national] tennis tournament during each of those seasons as well. When you combine that with the fact that she never gets behind in the classroom, you have a very special student-athlete,” said Keel.
