For four years Mary Bryce Pring has been a steady force in the circle at Blessed Trinity, twirling great game after great game to keep the Lady Titans among the state’s softball elite.

But the veteran pitcher seems to be saving her best for last, leading Blessed Trinity to a No. 3 state ranking and perfect 6-0 mark in 6AAA this fall.

“She has always been good and she just gets better and better every year,” said Blessed Trinity softball coach Jan O’Donnell. “She has gotten stronger, faster, more confident and she is moving the ball better [this year].”

Pring sports a 12-4 win-loss record this season with a miniscule 1.86 earned run average.

Along with her individual success, Pring’s work on the rubber has helped Blessed Trinity to 84 wins in her four years, three trips to the state playoffs, and an appearance in the Class AA championship in Columbus last fall.

As the Lady Titans prepare for another run towards Columbus, it is no secret that they will lean heavily on their ace to get there.

“Having Mary Bryce on the mound is huge and she will most likely be there for every game,” said the Blessed Trinity coach. “We like to depend on her because she can rise to the occasion.”
