Locust Grove’s Sabiyah Broderick, the 5 foot 11 senior, is as dynamic as student-athletes come.

Already having made her mark in her respective prep basketball and volleyball careers, Broderick is looking to further cement her legacy in track and field.

In addition to being the all-time Locust Grove basketball points leader, Broderick also already holds the school record in the 400 meters, 800 meters and 300 hurdles events.

“Sabiyah has been a consistent and reliable athlete,” said Lady Wildcats coach Hugh Broderick. “She’s well respected as a strong competitor in the region in [every sport she plays] … she’s hard working and assumes a leadership role among her peers.”

The Lady Wildcats star has distinguished herself just as much off the field of play.

Broderick is on track to graduate with a 3.5 GPA or better.

Moreover, “Sabiyah has a wholesome roundness to her life and has always strived to have a positive impact on her community,” her coach said.
