“She is an outstanding goalie,” Lakeside girls’ soccer coach Tom Collop said. “She is being recruited to play Division-I soccer.”
In 2013, Graham had 124 saves and surrendered just eight goals with a 0.47 goals allowed average.
“She is definitely one of the better goalkeepers not only in the county but in the whole region,” said Collop, who is in his first year as Lakeside head coach. “She’s very athletic. She plays basketball too but soccer is definitely her game.”
On the basketball court this season, Graham was among the top 15 players in the county in steals with a 3.8 average and assists at 2.7 a game.
As far as soccer and at press time, Graham had three shutouts this season.
“My expectations for the players who are being recruited are for them to grow as players throughout the season,” Collop said. “If they do that and we do better as a team, it’s going to certainly make them look better and help them reach their goal which I’m sure is to play college soccer.”
Collop said juniors Brittanie Evans, Grace Clark and Sage Barnard are all being recruited to play on the next level as well.
