After a stellar freshman swimming season, Pace’s Grace Ferry hasn’t missed a beat at the beginning of the 2013-14 season.

The sophomore standout has already qualified for the state meet in six individual events so far this year – including the 50-yard freestyle, which she earned a state spot with a school-record time of 25.61 seconds.

She also earned places in the 200 freestyle (1:58.94) the 200 individual medley (2:15.27), the 100 free (56.20), the 500 free (5:14.18) and 100 backstroke (1:01.84).

In addition, she is also a part of three Pace relay teams who have earned state qualifying times – the 400 freestyle relay, the 200 free relay and the 200 medley relay.

Ferry, who moved to Atlanta before her freshman year from San Antonio, Texas, made her mark in high school swimming immediately last year as she finished fifth in both the 500 free (5:01.40) and the 200 free (1:51.76) in the Class A-AAAAA competition in the state meet at Georgia Tech last February.
