The freshman outside midfielder has come through like a veteran, however, as she has led the Lions to victories in their first two Class AA tournament games.
Jackson got things off to a rousing start with three goals and one assist to lead Lovett to an 8-0 victory over Armuchee in a first-round game May 2.
She maintained her scoring touch with a goal in the Lions’ 5-1 second-round win over Oglethorpe County last Tuesday.
Jackson has been a steady offensive presence for Lovett in her first high school soccer season, leading the team in scoring with 10 goals and five assists.
“She has been a rock all year and one of our most consistent performers,” Lovett coach Will Lozier said. “Grace is never satisfied with her game and she is constantly probing her coaches for ways in which she can improve. She loves her soccer all the time and she’ll be a force to be reckoned with for the next three years in the state of Georgia.”
