As a third-year starter on the Milton lacrosse team, senior Molly Garrigan is an offensive powerhouse on the attack.

“Molly has it all speed, athleticism, and a great shot,” said Milton lacrosse coach Tim Godby of Garrigan, who signed a scholarship to play at Elon University earlier this year.

“She’s able to create a lot of great opportunities for herself with her quickness and has come up with the big goals when we have needed them throughout the season.”

Garrigan’s big goals have come in droves this season, including a huge performance in the Legacy Cup earlier this month.

Taking on three top-ranked out-of-state programs — Kent Denver (Colo.), Winter Springs (Fla.) and Good Counsel (Md.) — Garrigan tallied four assists and nine scores in the event, including a five goal game against Winter Springs in Milton’s 22-13 win.

“Molly just has great vision and it shows on her fast breaks and cuts,” said Godby of his star senior.

“She is always in the right position on offense and that skill-set makes her a great weapon on the offensive side of the ball.”

Garrigan’s offensive heroics have helped Milton average more than 16 goals per game this season as a team while leading the Lady Eagles to an 11-3-1 overall record and a No. 1 state ranking in Class AAAAAA.
