First day of early voting popular in Fulton

On its first day Monday, early voting has been a hit with Fulton County residents.

According to an email from the county’s Department of Registration and Elections, as of 6:45 p.m., 4,970 residents had voted at the six Fulton locations designated for early voting.

Two local polling places, the Buckhead Library and the North Fulton Service Center in Sandy Springs, saw 654 and 806 voters, respectively, cast ballots.

Early voting ends Nov. 2 and the general election is Nov. 6.
