In an emailed response to questions about the 2013-14 academic year, Fulton County Schools provided information on staffing and construction and renovation for its schools.

The district’s estimated enrollment for the start of the 2013-14 academic year is about 95,000 students. It will have about 12,000 full-time employees, including about 6,800 certified ones.

Several district employees were promoted, including L. Thomas Garrett, from counselor at Lake Forest Elementary in Sandy Springs to assistant principal at Riverwood High in Sandy Springs; Taylor Pratt, from English as a second language teacher at Lake Forest to assistant principal at Ison Springs Elementary in Sandy Springs.

Regarding construction and renovation of schools, next summer construction crews will continue the work begun at several schools whose projects were too extensive to be completed during this summer, including Spalding Drive Elementary in Sandy Springs.
