The four day operation dubbed “School’s Out” coincided with local graduations and Memorial Day weekend.
During this timeframe, the divisions conducted traffic enforcement actions using high visibility patrols along selected road networks and communities to detect, deter and reduce the number of underage drinking incidents normally associated with teens during the summer months.
The traffic enforcement campaign was a success, according to department spokesman Sgt. Joey Smith.
Smith said as the summer months steadily approach, the department reaffirms its commitment to promote safety on the roads.
To prevent unnecessary delays, motorists should have ready for inspection: a vehicle operator’s license, vehicle registration card and wallet-size insurance card.
