Hooters employees from around the world will have a chance to win cash and prizes and represent Hooters as Miss Hooters International 2013.
The pageant will be held at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Thursday. Fans can watch the live pageant exclusively at Hooters locations across the country at 9 p.m. The full pageant with bonus footage will air on July 17 at 9 p.m. ET on FOX-Speed TV.
Co-hosts for the 30th anniversary Hooters pageant are Chael Sonnen and Kenny Florian, Ultimate Fighting Championship icons and co-hosts of Fuel TV’s UFC Tonight.
The first place contestant, Miss Hooters International 2013, will receive $30,000 cash, a feature in Hooters Magazine, Hooters Calendar and the chance to appear in national television commercials and marketing initiatives for Hooters. Other awards will be presented to Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic and Miss Hooters World, representing Hooters 27 international markets.
The pageant contestants were selected from more than 18,000 Hooters employees who presently work in one of the more than 400 Hooters locations worldwide. They each competed in local and regional swimsuit contests for one of the 60 spots in the pageant.
The local and regional contests along “The Road to Vegas” served as fundraising events for the inaugural Hooters for Heroes campaign, a program designed to raise money and awareness for military non-profit organizations dedicated to U.S. veterans and their families.
