Roswell Department of Transportation reports that while main corridors in Roswell are passable today, there are still hundreds of abandoned vehicles and large icy patches on side streets throughout the City that continue to contribute to hazardous road conditions.

Shaded areas and steep areas on roads are taking the longest to recover.

Drivers are urged to be particularly aware of people in the right-of-way who are recovering their vehicles from the roads.

Icy patches on roads are expected to refreeze tonight as temperatures will once again dip below freezing after sunset. Residents are urged to stay off the roads tonight to avoid the dangers of black ice.

Roswell DOT will continue to work to clear roads as conditions allow.
