King’s Ridge has finished its previous three seasons as a varsity program with the same record, 5-5. The Tigers haven’t made the postseason but have begun the quest to end that distinction well with a strong 2-0 start to begin the 2013 campaign, including a 34-10 win over Pinecrest Academy in the season opener and a 38-17 triumph against St. Francis.

Against Pinecrest, quarterback Henry Jones threw one touchdown pass and 194 yards while All-Region wide receiver, junior Penny Hart, had two total touchdowns, including a 48-yard punt return for a score.

The Tigers continued the strong output against St. Francis with Jones throwing two more TD passes and Hart notching 152 yards in receiving in the victory. Senior running back Connor Henderson had his strongest outing of the young season, gaining 142 yards on 33 carries with 3 touchdown runs.

King’s Ridge will return to action on Thursday at Pace Academy.
