I would like to take a minute and offer thanks and praise to the city of Sandy Springs.
Early this summer we had a huge hole open up in our backyard, and with all the rainfall it was scary looking. We saw the hole on Saturday. I contacted the city of Sandy Springs that day, left a message, and they had a representative and a technician in our backyard checking it out on Monday.
They determined it was likely the cause of a break or leak in the buried storm sewer pipe that runs the entire length of our yard. They immediately set into motion a plan and scheduled to repair the pipe and fill in the hole, and they have now completed that work, doing exactly what they said they would do and in a timely fashion.
Lines of communication were always open and they were eager to answer ongoing questions I had about the situation and plan of action. I can’t imagine a city or municipality doing a better job of helping us with a problem like this than did Sandy Springs.
Special thanks to Michele Robbins and Brittney Bullfinch who spearheaded this operation; neither could have been more responsive, helpful or professional. Great job and thanks!
