In an article published on 6/5/13, Congressman Tom Graves is quoted as saying, “I love town halls. I wish we could do more of them,” he said. “It is not where I come to give a speech, but to listen.” Having attended two of his Town Halls, and spoken at one, I can assure you that he does not listen. He may let you talk, but it is not because he is listening. He has already received his marching orders from the rightwing organizations he actually represents.

Mr. Graves is not about what is good for the citizenry of Georgia or his district. Mr. Graves is about getting himself on the Honor Rolls of organizations such as Heritage Foundation, ALEC, Club for Growth, American Enterprise Institute, NRA, etc. He boasts about his accomplishments to the end shamelessly.

He also has an official Congressman Tom Graves' Facebook page from which a person who dissents from Mr. Graves' viewpoint too often will find him or herself banned from commenting or "liking" on it. So Mr. Graves has provided resources for his constituents to make their views known, but if he doesn't like your views, he bans you.

Mr. Graves needs to be replaced in the 2014 election.
