Juwaan Williams makes his presence felt on both offense as a quarterback and wide receiver and the defensive side as a safety for Tucker.

It was Williams’ offensive skills that proved to be the difference for Tucker in its 67-7 win over Lakeside in the Tigers’ most recent game on Sept. 28.

The 6-foot-1, 182-pound senior threw four touchdown passes to lead the Tigers to their convincing win.

He connected with Joe Farrar on three of those touchdown pass, with Chauncey Rivers on the receiving end of his other scoring strike.

Williams ranks among the top quarterbacks in the county — completing around 50 percent of his passes.

He is just as formidable defensively in a Tucker secondary that is a key part of a Tiger defensive unit that ranks second in the county.

Williams was a key player in Tucker’s march to the Class AAAA state title as a junior last year, gaining 617 total yards and scoring 11 touchdowns.

As a result, Williams has emerged as one of the top college recruits in the state, with Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, Oregon, Vanderbilt and Notre Dame — where he recently made an official recruiting visit — among the major Division I programs expressing interest in his services.
