“It’s pretty special,” said Larkin, who shot a 69. “It’s always good to win one state championship with your team but to win three in a row with three separate coaches is pretty cool.”
Matt Romano coached the team, which had nine seniors, this year.
“We were always told this class could do big things,” Larkin said. “We always had a lot of hype around us and pressure around us. It was really cool to live up to that expectation.”
Larkin finished with five birdies and Will Chandler and Will Duma had three each.
“I hit it good all day,” Larkin said. “On that course, you had to hit it straight and hit it solid and I hit it where I wanted to for most of the day.” Next year while attending Georgia, Larkin, who graduated with a 3.7 grade-point average, will continue playing golf.
“There are all these young Georgia guys who are successful on the tour right now and that kind of gives me a glimmer of hope,” Larkin said. “If you stick with it, results can come. If you work hard and keep at it.”
