Newly crowned Miss America Mallory Hytes Hagan is flipping for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals as a spokesperson for the International House of Pancake’s National Pancake Day. In preparation for National Pancake Day — Feb. 5 — she will visit with some of the kids she hopes to help at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, and flip and serve pancakes for customers at the IHOP at 5516 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Chamblee.

On Feb. 5, IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer each guest a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This year, the restaurant chain is hoping to stack up more donations than ever before, with a goal to raise $3 million, for a total of more than $13 million in eight years with its National Pancake Day fundraising effort.

To find a local IHOP or to donate online, visitwww.ihoppancakeday.com. For every short stack of buttermilk pancakes served on National Pancake Day, IHOP guests are invited to make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Hagan will be at the Chamblee restaurant from to 8 to 10 a.m., flipping and serving pancakes to guests.
