Editor’s note: Due to early holiday deadlines, the Neighbor did not get the Sandy Springs Police Department’s report in time for this week’s edition. Briefs from that report should appear in the Jan. 1 edition.

o GOTTA SHAVE: At the CVS/pharmacy at 2555 Bolton Road in northwest Atlanta Dec. 12, the store manager followed a male suspect who placed several Gillette shavers in his pants without paying. The manager followed the suspect to the Moores Mill Village apartments at 2453 Coronet Way and lost sight of him as he entered the gate. The suspect discarded four shavers along the way and got away with five to six shavers. The suspect was captured on video and is a black male with dark complexion, 5 feet 8 inches tall, in his 40s and wearing a matching blue jean outfit.

o JOB HUNTING: At the Walmart at 1801 Howell Mill Road in Buckhead Dec. 13, a suspect entered the store and concealed several packs of resume paper in a plastic bag he was carrying. He then walked past all points of sale without paying. The suspect was apprehended by Walmart loss prevention and taken into custody.

n CLEAN TEETH FREAK: At the Publix at 2900 Peachtree Road in Buckhead Dec. 13, a suspect concealed 10 Oral B Power toothbrushes in a brown Publix bag and ran from the location. The suspect was last seen behind Party City, where he jumped over a black fence. Seven toothbrushes were recovered at 2895 Peachtree Road and returned to the store. Video showed the suspect is a black male wearing black pants, a white T-shirt with writing and a black jacket.

o VICTIM FIGHTS BACK: Dec. 11, the victim was inside his vehicle on Cheshire Bridge Road in east Buckhead when it was struck from behind. When the victim got out to check for damages, a dark-skinned male and a light-skinned male approached him. The dark-skinned male brandished a black handgun tucked in his waistband and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect his wallet, got in his car and drove home. When the victim arrived home, he noticed the suspects followed him. The dark-skinned male exited the blue 2013 Audi A3 (Ga. license number PNT5788), demanded the victim’s Bank of America pin number and left the location. The victim advised he was threatened that he would be killed if he told anyone, so he went to a friend’s house and then went home without reporting the incident. The following morning, the dark-skinned male knocked on the victim’s door and told him to go to Bank of America at 956 Ponce De Leon Ave. to withdraw money. When they arrived at the bank, the victim was shown the handgun again and complied when the light-skinned male called customer service and demanded the victim increase his withdrawal limit. The victim and the dark-skinned male went inside the bank and the victim withdrew money. Once outside, the victim noticed a female sitting in the driver’s seat of the suspect’s vehicle with the light-skinned male inside. The dark-skinned male reached to snatch the victim’s money out of his hand, but the victim was able to retain it, get in his car and drive off. The victim called 911, a lookout for the suspect vehicle was given and it was spotted at Peachtree and Pine streets downtown. A female driver, a light-skinned male and a dark-sinned male were detained, taken back to the bank and were positively identified as the suspects who robbed the victim. The bank manager confirmed the victim walked in with the dark-skinned male wearing all black. The suspects were charged with armed robbery.

The names and charges above are from area arrest warrants and crime reports. A warrant is merely an accusation of a crime and accused people are innocent until proven guilty.
