o HAIR CROOKS: At 1331 Marietta Blvd. July 30 in west Midtown, a unit responded to an audible alarm and observed the front store window and frame were damaged. Hair products were taken from the front of the store and a box of old hair was taken from the rear of the store. Scattered pieces of a bumper and rear taillight lens from a large vehicle were found on the ground.
o CLEANED OUT: At the 2300 block of Defoors Ferry Road in Buckhead, the victim reported that $3,000 in cash was removed from an envelope that was inside a cabinet locker. The victim advised a cleaning lady was the last person he knew was inside his home when the money was there and advised she has not returned To his home after several attempts to have her return to do more work.
o MAD ABOUT MEAT: At the Fogo de Chao restaurant at the 3100 block of Piedmont Road in Buckhead Aug. 2, two male employees got into a physical confrontation inside the restaurant after the victim dropped a skewer of meat in front of the suspect. The suspect punched the victim in the back and in the face, both males fought and the manager ordered them to go home. In the parking lot, the suspect and victim fought and the suspect pulled a knife from his pocket and stabbed the victim, causing a 1.5-inch wound. The victim ran, the suspect gave chase, tripped and fell to the ground. The manager separated the victim and suspect and the suspect left in his vehicle. The manager dressed the victim’s wound and followed him to St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where the incident was reported.
o FOUR-WHEEL DUMB: A man was arrested Aug. 2 just after 5 p.m. after he tried to test the four-wheel drive of his Toyota pickup truck on the property known as Station 6 of the Sandy Springs Fire Department. Several firefighters who came out to see what was going on found the truck up against a wall of the station and the suspect jumping up and down on the tailgate trying to free the truck in what was later termed the “failed” attempt to successfully test the vehicle’s four-wheel drive. He got into an altercation with a fireman, another losing effort, and was subsequently arrested.
o PANTY RAIDER: At the Target at 5610 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs Aug. 7, security staff detained a woman who stole $103 in women’s undergarments. She was later arrested.
o FAILED THEFT: A theft was reported at the LA Fitness at 6690 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs Aug. 3 at 6:30 p.m. The victim left his car keys in his clothes in an unlocked locker. He later found the keys in the door of his car. Nothing was taken. The victim did hide his wallet in the car and it was not taken.
