The Skill Factory will present a basketball clinic by Alan Stein, the head strength and conditioning coach for the nationally-renowned DeMatha Catholic High School basketball program, at The Galloway School gym, located at 215 West Wieuca Road in Atlanta on Jan. 27 from noon until 3 p.m. for boys and girls ages 12 and up.
Stein’s Cutting Edge Basketball Clinic addresses warm-up, dynamic flexibility and core strength, as well as quickness, agility and reaction.
All attendees will receive a free ticket to an upcoming Atlanta Hawks game. Coaches attending the clinic will receive a complimentary ticket to the Hawks’ annual coaches clinic at Philips Arena later this year.

Cost: $50 for student-athletes, $25 for coaches. Coaches who bring ten or more student-athletes will be eligible for a group rate.

Girls AAU Tryouts
The Georgia Pistols, a girls AAU basketball program, will be holding tryouts for second through fifth graders Jan. 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, located at 805 Mount Vernon Highway in Sandy Springs and on Jan. 20 for fifth and sixth graders at 4 p.m. and seventh and eighth graders at 6 p.m. at Pace Academy, located on 966 West Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta.
The Pistols will also hold tryouts Jan. 27 for second through fifth graders at 1 p.m. and sixth through eighth graders from 2:15 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Holy Innocents’.
The Georgia Pistols are a non profit volunteer sports organization. There are no fees to tryout.
