Exhibit

The North Georgia Artists’ Association Exhibit will be on display through June 27 at the Cultural Arts Center, 8652 Campbellton St.

Admission is free. It is open to the public.

Library programs

Free programs are planned all summer for adults at the Douglas County and Dog River libraries.

Check in with the Circulation Desk at either library to be eligible for prizes.

Programs include:

- Thursday, 6:30 p.m., “Gardening from the Ground Up” with the Douglas County Master Gardeners at Douglas County Library.

- Saturday, 10:30 a.m., “Honkeytonk Hank Williams,” at Dog River Library.

- Tuesday, 5:45 p.m., Movie Night featuring “One for the Money,” at Douglas County Library.

- June 30 at 10:30 a.m., author Terry Kay at Dog River Library.

Fish fry

Frank P. Dorris American Legion Post 145 SAL will host a fish fry dinner Friday at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $7.

Day of Fun

Douglasville Family Day of Fun at Fowler Field is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 3902 Chapel Hill Road. It is free and open to the public and will include kick ball, moonwalk, toss across, bake sale, and more.

Tournament

The Young Professionals Connection Cornhole Tournament is set for Saturday at 11 a.m. at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club, 8000 Capps Ferry Road. Registration is at 10 a.m.

Benefit cruise-in

The Humane Society Cruise-in is set for Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at S’More BBQ, 6588 Douglas Blvd.

Cars, trucks, motorcycles, friends, chairs and furry family members are welcome. Live music and good food will be featured with proceeds benefiting the Douglas County Humane Society.

Chamber mixer

Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours is set for June 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Metro Bank on Chapel Hill Road at The Landing.

Free concert

Christian music artist Dara Maclean will perform a free concert July 2 at noon at the Arbor Place Mall Food Court.

Maclean recently released a first album entitled “You Got My Attention.”
