The signups will run through Jan. 2 or until the classes are full, according to a news release from the county. Classes will start on Jan. 7. Some programs have fees, and there is special fee for non-residents of $16 per program.
There are around 66 different programs to choose from, that span between all age groups.
Here is a list of a few of the classes offered: eaglets golf, art exploration, beginners boot camp, children’s dance classes that range from ballet, pop, jazz and tap. There is pilates, yoga, karate and guitar lessons.
The department offers Morning Shape Up, which is a fitness class for ages 16 and older to come in Monday and Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. for a total body workout. The class has a fee of $36
Also for ages 16 and older there are Zumba classes, at many different times, for $41. Zumba is a dance based workout system.
For the youth there are classic programs like softball and baseball, plus day camps and more.
Classes can not be hosted if there are not enough participants registered, but 98 percent of the time there are enough registered, said Vickie Williams, superintendent of programs.
