Pickett’s Mill to offer candlelight tours of Civil War battlefield

Candlelight Tours of Pickett’s Mill Battlefield State Historic Site are set for Saturday, Nov. 10, at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.

The battlefield is at 4432 Mt. Tabor Church Road in Dallas. Cost is $8.

Pickett’s Mill was the scene of one of the few night battles during the Civil War. Visitors on these first-person guided tours will see a re-enactment of Brig. Gen. Hiram Granbury’s Brigade advance into the dark ravine and Capt. Thomas Key’s artillery bombardment.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Visit or call the park to register.
