The development of autonomy and independence in very young children is an important stage of child development, though a frustrating one for parents who are the recipients of "NO!" and not just a gentle "NO!" but a loud, yelling, stubborn, refusing "NO!" Power struggles can magnify the outburst. Playful Yoga is a movement and self regulation program for children 2ish to 6ish which promotes balance, coordination and fun but also teaches breathing games to send the "madness" or the "sadness" away and to use words instead of those silly baby temper tantrums. You are invited to participate in the Playful Yoga Teacher Certification Training, held on Sunday August 4 from 9-4 in Historic Roswell, GA. No prior yoga experience necessary. For information, visit and click "Yoga-Childrens Yoga" or call Lori Sugarman at 678-778-0707.
