Red Ribbon Week contest voting ends Saturday

Although Red Ribbon Week ended earlier this month after being extended a week due to Superstorm Sandy, families can vote in an online contest through Saturday as a way to discuss drug prevention and awareness.

Nationwide online voting is now live, and one’s community can help vote for the winners. The online voting period ends Saturday at midnight.

Studies show substance abuse risks lessen when parents talk to their children about the dangers of drugs, and this is the goal of 2012’s national contest: to encourage families to talk about prevention at home and in their neighborhoods.
