Redevelopment plans for Chamblee Plaza, a nearly 20-acre property located on Peachtree Boulevard in the heart of historic Chamblee, were announced recently by Trinity Development Group, Inc., who purchased the center in recent months.

Trinity Development coincidentally is a Chamblee-based developer, who owns and manages retail centers and student housing communities in major growth markets throughout the Southeast and West. Vince Riggio, the founding partner of Trinity, said Chamblee Plaza is a wonderful example of his company’s philosophy to explore and identify niches inside existing markets, creating unrealized or unseen opportunity.

“Chamblee Plaza is located on one of the hottest developing corridors in North Atlanta,” Riggio said. “I’m excited about redeveloping Chamblee Plaza into a retail center that will draw people not only from Chamblee, but also Brookhaven, the Windsor Parkway corridor, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs and Doraville, with high quality local, regional, and national retailers, mixed with family entertainment and dining. We’ll do extensive landscaping, and will work closely with the city of Chamblee to ensure our redevelopment plans are in keeping with their vision for Chamblee as ‘A City on the Right Track!’”

Riggio said David Henzlik, Trinity’s managing partner of leasing, is already having detailed discussions with interested parties about how they can be included in the redevelopment of Chamblee Plaza.

“With existing national name brands like Chick-fil-A, Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins, and International House of Pancakes already having a presence at Chamblee Plaza, the level of interest has been extraordinary,” said Riggio. “I’m confident we’ll assemble a portfolio of tenants that will meet and exceed the needs of the citizenry who will make Chamblee Plaza a planned destination.”

Henzlik said the Trinity management team will conduct a series of town hall meetings for people to hear about and see plans for the redevelopment of Chamblee Plaza, including a fireside chat beginning at 6 p.m. today at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant, 3829 Clairmont Road in Chamblee.

“Trinity’s foundation is all about the relationships it forms with the community,” said Henzlik. “We value input from citizens and local government, and look forward to interactions at this event.”
