Roswell Mayor Jere Wood to host annual Mayor’s BBQ Ball

The annual Mayor’s BBQ Ball hosted by Roswell Mayor Jere Wood is Oct. 26, 6:30 to 10 p.m.

This year’s beneficiary is HomeStretch, a nonprofit that helps homeless families with temporary housing and life skills training.  

There will be freshly smoked BBQ, cole slaw and corn on the cob, along with food catered by Adele’s Cajun Cuisine, Artisan’s Cafe, Shane’s Ribshack, Dreamland BBQ and Harry’s Whole Foods, with s’mores by the bonfire. 

Drinks include beer from Atlanta Beverage and wine and margaritas from Roswell Beverage, as well as iced tea and lemonade 

Guests are invited out to mingle, eat, and dance the night away to the music of Big Biscuit Band at Miss Tillie’s rustic home in the woods, 10850 Stroup Road in Roswell.

Tickets are $25 for adults, free for children under age 12 and may be purchased at www.homestretch.org, click the “donate” button, insert info and put “Mayor’s BBQ Ball” as purpose of purchase.

They are also available the evening of the event at the door.
