Carroll, who was first on the TV quiz show in the 1990s, appeared again March 5 at an earlier round of the Battle of the Decades. She has won six times on “Jeopardy!” The Battle of the Decades includes 15 of the show’s top contestants from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s to vie for the $1 million tournament grand prize. The final rounds begin Monday, with the two-day final match airing May 15 and 16.
“I’ve been hosting ‘Jeopardy!’ for 30 years, and I have to say that the Battle of the Decades has been the most fun tournament we have ever staged,” host Alex Trebek said in a statement. “The game material is incredibly challenging and the stakes are extremely high, yet the contestants brought humor and light to the proceedings. I know our viewers will enjoy watching it as much as I did hosting it, and look forward to hearing their reactions.”
In Monday’s episode Carroll will compete against Roger Craig (2000s) of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Leszek Pawlowicz (’80s) of Flagstaff, Ariz. The quarterfinals end May 9 and the semifinals start May 12.
The champion will claim the $1 million grand prize, second place will win a minimum of $100,000 and third place takes home a minimum of $50,000.
