Atlanta Film Studios Paulding County recently saw production end on Shine America’s “Fake Off,” a new competition series about the "art of faking," a studio news release stated.

The show sets up teams challenged to recreate and reimagine iconic moments in pop culture.

Harry Shum Jr. of “Glee,” Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas of the singing group TLC and Michael Curry of “Cirque du Soliel” signed on as judges for the new truTV series to air this fall, the release stated.

Matthew Chavez, “Fake Off’s” executive in charge, said, “We had a great experience at Atlanta Film Studios — location, staff and facilities were terrific, absolutely nothing but positive things to say…. We can’t wait for season two.”

RoadTown Enterprises operates the facility. Its owner, Nick Smerigan, said, “Although we continue to welcome features, scripted TV, advertising and web-based content clientele, [studio officials are] excited about the community of game shows, reality and reality competition discovering the facility. We are fielding a lot of calls from audience-driven shows. It seems the facility and location are perfect for this kind of production.”

The facility has been home to AMC’s “Halt And Catch Fire,” BET’s “R & B Diva’s” and the feature film “42.”

Atlanta Film Studios in Hiram has two 20,000-square-foot sound stages, 11,000 square feet of office space, 32,000 square feet of mill space and a full complement of production services.
