Central Bark Doggy Day Care, at 1940 Briarwood Court, recently hosted a grand opening for the Brookhaven community and franchise owner Lindsay Le said there are numerous reasons why she chose to introduce the business to Georgia pet owners.
“We chose to go with this particular franchise because they focus primarily on the health, happiness and safety of the dogs, and that’s what really sold me on it,” Le said.
The facility has a mostly “unkennel” concept, which means the majority of the dog’s stay at the day care is spent playing and socializing with other pets in both indoor and outdoor fenced in environments with the watchful eye of a trained handler.
The facility also includes a bath and grooming room as well as a nap room. Prices range from $28 per day for one dog to $529 for a VIP monthly package that includes a free bath and 20 percent off all retail items. Le said she felt Brookhaven was a perfect fit for the Central Bark business concept.
“When we were looking for a location, we didn’t want to be in the busiest part of downtown Atlanta because we care about having the right facility and outdoor space for our dogs,” she said. “We were fortunate to find this location because it’s a good compromise between the two and Brookhaven feels like a small, close-knit community in a big city.”
Le said she encourages residents to come and check out the facility, take a tour and see what Central Bark is all about because, she said, doggy day care is great for all dogs.
“Day care is fantastic for all dogs because whether a person stays at home with the dog or is gone all day, a dog needs socialization,” she said. “When dogs come here, they exercise and receive attention and affection all day, plus they socialize with other dogs and new people.”
