In a news release, the Georgia Lottery Wednesday announced a winning ticket matched the first five winning numbers from Saturday’s Powerball drawing. The winning ticket, worth $1 million, was sold at the Roswell Road Amoco, 5995 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.

A winner has not yet come forward to claim the prize. Powerball winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes. Winning numbers from Saturday’s Powerball drawing were: 3-23-48-54-55 and the Powerball was 5. Wednesday’s jackpot is at an estimated $165 million to a single annuity winner. Powerball tickets are $2 per play.

As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state.
