Wonderglo: the race will take place Saturday from 7 to 11:30 p.m. at the W hotel in Midtown.

The event will raise funds for two arts nonprofits: gloATL, an Atlanta contemporary performance company, and WonderRoot, an Atlanta arts advocate aiming to unite artists and the community to inspire positive social change.

Wonderglo will include a collaboratively prepared dinner from some of Atlanta’s top chefs, performances by artists from the Center for Puppetry Arts, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Scott Daughtridge, Neil Carver, Chop Art, Soul Food Cypher, gloATL, WonderRoot and more.

Lauri Stallings, one of the event organizers and a gloATL founding artist, wrote in an email this year’s party will have a certain theme.

“We are working with creating tension this year, in the form of materials such as light, wire and color, to construct more personal encounters that rupture and surprise!” she wrote.

The event is co-chaired by Todd Tautfest and Nancy Hooff. Tickets start at $250.
