Brides from across the Atlanta area will be coming to Roswell Feb. 26 for the 11th Annual Roswell Wedding Showcase, an event highlighting the wedding industry in Roswell.

“Roswell‘s a big wedding destination,” said Marsha Saum, wedding specialist with the Roswell Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. “We get people from all over. This showcase is open to Roswell business only. Brides from all over want a Roswell wedding.”

Saum said in past years the event has attracted more than 100 brides, and this year with some new promotional initiatives she is hoping to see even more.

The showcase will feature dance demonstrations, a ceremony set-up at the Double Tree by Hilton and several free giveaways including a grand prize honeymoon package.

“We have lots of items to give away,” Saum said. “The grand prize is the big one. It’s a three night all inclusive honeymoon.”

One of the vendors who will be at the showcase is Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique, who will have a fashion show featuring some looks for brides to see.

“We’ll probably have about 16 looks total,” said Catherine Cass, consultant and events manager for Wedding Angels. “It’ll be a nice variety of dresses for brides and bridesmaids. We’re really excited about the fashion show.”

In addition to the fashion show, Wedding Angels will participate in the giveaways with a free veil up to $250.

Wedding Angels is at 395 South Atlanta Street in Roswell, and Cass said the location is great for a wedding business.

“Roswell is a good little city to have your wedding,” she said.

Along with promoting their products, Cass said the showcase will be a great marketing tool for the shop. She wants brides to know Wedding Angels can provide a unique experience.

“We’re very one on one. We like to stay with our brides from beginning to end,” she said. “I do the pressing so I make sure they look beautiful.”

The showcase will be from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Double Tree by Hilton, 1075 Holcomb Bridge Road. Admission is free.
