Tucker and Marist were not satisfied with only 48 minutes of football, as the Tigers needed double overtime to take out the War Eagles 31-24.
Junior running back Jordan Landry stepped up and rushed for more than 100 yards and three touchdowns in the No. 2 Tigers win. Landry scored the game-winner in the second overtime frame and the Tucker (2-0, 2-0 Region 6AAAA) defense held on fourth and two for the victory.
The No. 9 War Eagles (1-1, 1-1) held a lead late in the fourth, but Landry scored a touchdown to help the Tigers claw back into the game and force overtime.
