Saturday marks the anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history.
The September 11 Terrorist Attacks left an impact on our country and changed our lifes forever. Since 2001, we have waged war against terrorists who threaten the very fabric of our existence. There continues to be debate on whether or not that war has been successful. You decide.
Here nine years later, the horror of that day continues to haunt me. I remember where I was, what I was doing and what I felt when I saw footage of the World Trade Center burning. Never should we forget the significance of 9/11 and the lives that were lost.
The greatest honor to their memory is to never forget.
The lesson of import is to treasure the things that shape the very fabric of American life. From the freedom of the First Amendment to the guarantees of the second amendment, we must continue to be thankful--to our forefathers for setting in stone those freedoms and the men and women who have fought and continue to fight to retain those freedoms.
How will you remember 9/11? Can you recall where you were when news of a terrorist attack on U.S. soil first broke?
