The West Georgia Technical College chapter of Phi Beta Lambda is hosting “The Little Black Dress” event on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 7 to 10 p.m. to benefit the March of Dimes.
The event is set for the student center at 4600 Timber Ridge Drive, Douglasville. It will include a dance, hosted by a DJ, and will offer refreshments.
A photograph will also be included in the ticket price.
Tickets are $15 each and $25 for couples, and all proceeds go to the March of Dimes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and informing the public about neonatal care and the health of infants.
There will be a dance and karaoke competition at the dance, in which winners will take home a plaque.
Attire is semi-formal, and ladies are asked to wear a black dress.
Karen Shell of Lithia Springs, treasurer of Phi Beta Lambda, a business club, is head of the Little Black Dress event. She encourages couples to come to the event on a Valentine’s Day date.
“It’s cheap enough to where people can come out and have a Valentine’s date without spending so much money, and it’s for a great cause,” Shell said.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or from Ramona Williams at West Georgia Tech.
